Ready to kick-start your career at ROBINSON? The 3-year dual study programme in partnership with the DHBW Ravensburg offers you exciting insights into the world of club hospitality.

The dual study programme consists of six-month theoretical phases in Ravensburg and six-month practical phases at one of our clubs worldwide. During the theoretical phases, you will gain a broad understanding of business administration and hotel and gastronomy management, as well as learning two foreign languages. During the practical phases, you will get to know the processes in various areas of the hotel. Upon successful completion of the programme, you will graduate with a Bachelors of Arts and, depending on your specialisation and interests, take on a position of responsibility at one of our clubs.

During the practical placements, you can expect:

  • 1. year: the departments Kitchen, Restaurant, Bar, Storage and F&B
  • 2. year: the departments Front Office, Guest Relation and Housekeeping
  • 3. year: the departments administration, executive assistance and an individual specialisation
  • In addition: ROBINlife activities, arrival & departure duties, cooking assignments

During the theoretical phases, you can expect:

  • Core business modules such as business administration, marketing, accounting and project management
  • Specialised modules such as tourism studies and quality management
  • A wide range of subjects such as economics, law, mathematics and statistics

Where will my studies take place?

You will complete the 3-year dual study programme in Hotel and Gastronomy Management at DHBW Ravensburg in partnership with ROBINSON.

From October to March, you will complete the theoretical phases in Ravensburg, and from April to September, you will undertake practical placements at various ROBINSON Clubs around the world.


 

As a future dual student, we expect you to bring enthusiasm and the following:

  • Minimum age of 18
  • A-levels or equivalent*
  • Experience in the hotel, catering or events industry desirable
  • Openness, organisational skills and resilience
  • An interest in gaining intercultural experience
  • Willingness to work anywhere in the world during the placement phases
  • Excellent communication skills

DHBW Ravensburg 

DHBW Ravensburg is a state-run university that has been successfully training engineers and business graduates – including in hotel and gastronomy management – for many years. During the three-year programme, the DHBW teaches academic subjects and methods, which are combined with practical skills gained during the practical phases at partner companies.

For more than 20 years, ROBINSON has been partnering with the DHBW to train hospitality managers (degree: Bachelor of Arts) and also relies on the DHBW for the professional development of its junior managers.
